Martina is set to sign for Everton in the next 48 hours, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
The Dutch born defender is a player who Ronald Koeman knows well, and he will be brought in as cover for Seamus Coleman.
However, Everton could be making an error by bringing in Martina – as they will be blocking Jonjoe Kenny’s progress.
Kenny has been one of England’s stand out players at the under-20 World Cup, which is taking place in South Korea.
The right-back’s energy has caught the eye, and he looks capable of playing to a very high level.
Kenny has shown on loan spells at Wigan Athletic and Oxford United that he is perfectly ready to play at Football League level, despite his tender years.
And Ronald Koeman should be looking to give Kenny his chance in Everton’s first-team, rather than blocking his pathway to success by bringing in Martina.
