Everton are now considering a move for AZ Alkmaar boss Pascal Jansen as a potential future replacement for Sean Dyche.
AZ Alkmaar’s Pascal Jansen is on Everton’s radar with Crystal Palace and Everton also interested in him.
That is according to TEAMtalk, who claim that Jansen is attracting major interest from British clubs.
This feels like pretty bizarre timing from an Everton perspective.
Yes, the start to the season hasn’t been ideal but Everton just beat Brentford 3-1 away from home in a morale-boosting win.
That certainly eased some of the pressure on Sean Dyche, but Everton are still being linked with other managers…

Everton keen on AZ Alkmaar’s Pascal Jansen
It’s now suggested that Everton have one eye on AZ boss Jansen having been impressed with his work in the Netherlands.
AZ currently sit second in the Eredivisie table with five wins from five, making a quite incredible start.
The Toffees don’t currently have immediate plans to replace Dyche but have Jansen at the top of their list if a change is made.
Everton are far from alone though as Crystal Palace and Rangers are also interested in Jansen.
Palace will again be looking for a longer-term manager with Roy Hodgson certainly a short-term solution at the moment.
Rangers boss Michael Beale is under huge pressure after a tricky start to the season and Jansen could be targeted to replace him.
Jansen could have a number of options at his disposal if he chooses to leave AZ, with clubs now queuing up for his services.

Who is AZ boss Jansen?
Jansen was actually born in London; father Hans Jansen is a Dutch musician whilst mother Sue Chaloner is an English former pop singer.
Rather than head into the music industry like his parents, Jansen chose football and spent time with AZ, Ajax, Haarlem and Telstar in his playing career before retiring at a young age.
Jansen coached with the likes of Vitesse Arnhem, Sparta Rotterdam and PSV Eindhoven before joining Arne Slot at AZ.
Slot’s move to Feyenoord meant that Jansen earned a big promotion and he guided AZ to the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League last season.
90Min reported back in June that Celtic were actually considering Jansen as a replacement for Ange Postecoglou following his move to Tottenham Hotspur.
The Bhoys ended up going for Brendan Rodgers instead but could soon see Jansen land a big job elsewhere.
