One of Everton’s new signings is already out injured.

Everton have revealed that new signing Jean-Philippe Gbamin has a ‘significant’ injury after manager Marco Silva confirmed it was ‘more serious’ than feared.
The 23-year-old missed last night’s defeat away at Aston Villa, prompting questions over where he was.
Gbamin, a £22.5 million signing earlier this month [The Irish Times], started the 1-0 win over Watford last week but it remains to be seen when Everton fans will see him again.
Speaking to The Echo, Toffees boss Silva said that the problem was more sinister than originally feared.
Everton’s statement later read: “Midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin has sustained a significant injury to his right quadriceps muscle.”
Things aren’t looking all that promising for the former Mainz midfielder.
Silva added that he’d be ‘out for some weeks’ but that might be a little premature, after the statement continued that a more thorough investigation is yet to be done at the club’s Finch Farm training ground.
He struggled on his Premier League debut in the 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace a fortnight ago, with even Silva admitting as much, but his performance at home to the Hornets last week was much more encouraging.
He and supporters will be devastated if it’s a really serious problem.
