Everton have been reportedly tracking Charlton youngster Ezri Konsa, along with Arsenal.

Charlton Athletic boss Karl Robinson has told Kent Live that there was a plan in place for Everton target Ezri Konsa to leave the Valley, only for the club’s takeover to throw a spanner in the works.
ESPN claimed back in November that both Everton and Arsenal were tracking the progress of the 20-year-old centre-back, ahead of a potential January move this month.
He has been a mainstay of Robinson’s side, clocking up 28 appearances this season already as he continues to show his burgeoning pedigree in the third tier of English football. A move then, is certainly on the cards.

Robinson admitted that he was prepared to sell Konsi but get him back on loan for the remainder of the season, but due to Charlton’s impending takeover, the chief executive is otherwise occupied.
“The idea with Ezri was always that there would be that sale and we’d get him back on loan,” said Robinson. “The good thing is about this situation [takeover talk, no CEO] there’s nobody here for anyone to contact about it.
“It’s almost like we’ve got into bunkers hiding and they can’t catch us.”

Everton are known for their faith in youth, after signing the likes of Mason Holgate, Ademola Lookman and Nikola Vlasic as well as bringing Jonjoe Kenny, Dom Calvert-Lewin and Tom Davies through the academy.
But Arsene Wenger is also renowned for his trust in younger players. It remains to be seen if either side can complete the signing of Konsa with Charlton’s takeover proving a major stumbling block.
Charlton centre-back Konsa has more than two years remaining on his contract, and it is still unclear how much they will charge for the England Under-20 World Cup champion.
