Everton target Caio Henrique is now on the radar of Barcelona as the left back weighs up whether to switch his international allegiance.
That’s according to Catalan newspaper SPORT, who claim that Monaco ace Caio is on Barcelona’s list as they target a new left back.
Jordi Alba’s time at Barcelona may be coming to an end and Alex Balde will need some competition.
It’s added that the Brazilian left back may switch his international allegiance to play for Spain.
Caio has been a strong attacking threat this season with seven assists in 23 Ligue 1 appearances this season.
The 25-year-old is also on Everton’s radar as iG Esporte in Brazil reported in October that the Toffees fancy signing Caio.
Challenging Barcelona won’t be easy and Everton will now face a real battle to sign the Monaco star.

Caio Henrique could solve Everton left back issues
Left back has been a problem spot for Everton in recent times.
Lucas Digne seemed to be doing fine as Leighton Baines’ successor before Rafael Benitez decided he didn’t want the Frenchman.
In came Vitaliy Mykolenko last year, who hasn’t exactly impressed Everton fans of late.
Ruben Vinagre came in last summer but the 23-year-old loanee is something of a forgotten man after playing just 24 Premier League minutes this season.
To put it simply, Everton should remain in the market for a new left back heading into the summer window.
Vinagre leaving and Mykolenko struggling will open the door for a new signing and Caio may just be one option on Everton’s wish list.
Much will depend on Everton’s relegation fate but Caio could be the answer having proven himself to be a thread going forward.
Caio is an ambitious target, especially with Barcelona now keen too, but he is certainly chasing if Everton can secure their Premier League status.
