The Toffees Under-23s ace helped David Unsworth’s side to a Premier League 2 and Premier League Cup double this season.

Everton academy ace Nathan Broadhead has been rewarded for his impressive exploits in the reserve setup by receiving a call-up to the provisional Wales senior squad ahead of their Euro 2020 qualifiers.
The 21-year-old forward was an important member of David Unsworth’s Under-23s squad that won the Premier League 2 title as well as the Premier League Cup, crucially grabbing four goals and three assists in the process.
The Welsh youth international featured in every single league game for the U23s this term and only failed to complete a full match on three occasions, all of which helped to earn him the U23s Player of the Season award last week.
Wales boss Ryan Giggs has named a 26-man squad for the camp taking place in the Algarve between 22 May and 28 May, with Broadhead being one of seven as-yet uncapped players to be selected, though he has featured at every youth level.
Here is what some Everton fans and Wales supporters made of the young attacker’s selection on Twitter:
The Dragons boss will be naming his full squad for the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Croatia and Hungary on 29 May.
