Everton are said to be a possible destination for Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose.

Allardyce’s time in charge of England was only brief, but he was very impressed by Rose.
Allardyce said that the Tottenham defender surprised him more than any other England player, as his attitude was so impressive.

“Danny Rose at left-back,” he told Monday Night Football on Sky Sports back in September, when asked which England player surprised him the most.
“He pulled a hamstring and never said anything until after the game was finished, which wasn’t very pleasing for Tottenham and Mauricio Pochettino as I know, but for me, that showed real character because we only won in the last minute.”
Ironically, it is Rose’s attitude which could force his Tottenham departure – with many Lilywhites supporters questioning the left-back.
Rose remains one of the most talented defenders in Tottenham’s squad, but he lost popularity after a controversial interview in the summer.

Rose suggested that he would be interested in leaving Tottenham, as he felt he could be earn more elsewhere, but it would still be a major coup if Everton were able to land him.
Everton are believed to have the spending power to match Spurs £45 million asking price for the 27-year-old, but they are likely to be competing with some of the Premier League’s biggest hitters for the left-back’s signature.
If Allardyce was able to bring Rose to Everton, he would surely replace Leighton Baines in the Toffees’ starting line-up.
