Everton boss Marco Silva has admitted to BBC Sport that he thinks West Ham United goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski is ‘fantastic’.

Everton completely outplayed West Ham at the weekend, as they strolled to a 2-0 victory at the London Stadium.

Most of West Ham’s team played well below their usual level, as Everton completely dominated the fixture.

And if it wasn’t for Fabianski in goal then Everton really could have ran riot in London.

“In some moments if we had been more critical we could have scored more but, of course, West Ham also have a fantastic goalkeeper who did well,” Silva admitted.

“We controlled the second half and the best chances to score were for our team.

“It was a fair result, a very good performance, three more points, another clean sheet and I’m really happy with the way we are playing.”

It is not the first time this season that Fabianski has earned praise from an opposition manager, as he has been one of the Hammers’ best performers.

The Polish stopper has been a wonderful addition to West Ham’s ranks, and has arguably been Manuel Pellegrini’s side’s player of the season.

Everton’s win over West Ham has seen them move ahead of Pellegrini’s men and into ninth place in the Premier League table.
