Marco Silva has admitted at his latest press conference, which was broadcast on Everton’s official website, that Idrissa Gueye has a problem.

Gueye got injured on international break, and could now be sidelined for Everton’s next match.

The Toffees take on Crystal Palace on Sunday, and Silva admits that he will give Gueye until the last minute to prove he is ready.

“It’s a problem,” Silva admitted. “We have tomorrow and the Sunday as well to decide whether he’ll be ready or not. It’s getting better.”

Gueye is an important player for Everton, so Silva will be wanting him fit.

If the tireless midfielder does miss out, it could provide an opportunity for Andre Gomes.

Gomes is edging closer to full fitness, and could make his debut in the clash, after moving to Goodison Park over the summer.

Everton go into their match with Palace full of confidence, after beating Leicester City in their most recent outing.
