Everton manager says Richarlison needs time.

Marco Silva the head coach

Everton boss Marco Silva has told the club website he wants three of the club’s top young talents to be given patience.

Among them is key man Richarlison, Everton’s most expensive signing of the summer at £40 million.

Silva also praised the contribution of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has started the last three games.

He said: “He knows I am demanding, not just from him, but all of them.

“It is not just him, but Richarlison and Ademola Lookman. These are young players with quality who need confidence, patience and space to grow.”

Richarlison began the season in excellent form and has been playing well across the past month.

The Brazilian has scored three goals in his last five games and provided one assist.

Silva is smart enough to realise that the attacker might not be able to maintain this level of production.

He is still only 21-years-old, which gets forgotten because he is so talented and plays with such maturity.
