Everton manager Marco Silva has come under pressure from the crowd at Goodison Park in recent weeks.

Marco Silva needs to hope that history does not repeat itself, after Everton owner Farhad Moshiri offered him a vote of confidence yesterday.

Moshiri spoke out on TalkSPORT, suggesting that he wanted to stick by Silva, who has come under pressure at Everton.

However, Silva still cannot take his position at Goodison Park for granted, as the Everton owner did the same with Ronald Koeman.

Moshiri threw his weight behind Koeman, before sacking him only 20 days’ later.

And Silva will be hoping that his story is not similar, as Everton’s form continues to worsen.

The Toffees were thoroughly outplayed by Wolverhampton Wanderers in their last fixture in front of their own supporters at Goodison Park.

And with Everton due to play against Manchester City later this evening, things are not about to get any easier for Silva.
