Everton defender Ramiro Funes Mori is ready for first-team football.

Everton defender Ramiro Funes Mori has handed Sam Allardyce a huge injury boost after declaring on Instagram that he is “ready to play” following a long-term knee injury.
The 26-year-old has been sidelined for almost a year after first suffering the injury while on international duty with Argentina, before undergoing surgery to correct the problem.

Now, the former River Plate defender has declared himself ready to play after two appearances for David Unsworth’s Under-23 side in the 4-0 loss to Arsenal and 1-0 win over Barnsley.
The defender joined Sam Allardyce’s first team in Dubai during their warm-weather training camp, and has now returned with first-team football in his sights ahead of Saturday’s clash against Watford.
The Argentina international could be used by Allardyce on Saturday evening as the Toffees travel to Hertforshire to face Javi Gracia’s side at Vicarage Road in the Premier League clash.
January loan signing Eliaquim Mangala has suffered a long-term injury and that could see Funes Mori return to the starting line-up, as the left-footed defender looks to show both Allardyce and Argentina boss Jorge Sampaoli what he is capable of with the World Cup in Russia looming.
