The Toffees are reportedly keen on the Juventus and Italy striker but an interview with the player’s father suggests his sights are set on a different team.

Everton could potentially have been dealt a blow in their reported pursuit of Juventus and Italy ace Moise Kean following an interview with the player’s father in which he admitted his son “wants to move to Inter Milan” in conversation with Passione Inter.

According to Calciomercato, the Toffees have made an ambitious £26million bid for the highly rated 19-year-old forward, who has been prolific for the Bianconeri’s youth teams and has 21 senior Juve appearances under his belt (Transfermarkt).

Kean is under contract at the Allianz Stadium until the end of next season but has been linked with a transfer away from Turin, with Ajax also believed to have thrown their name in the hat for his signature, as reported in The Mirror.

According to Biorou Jean, however, Kean “chose” the Nerazzurri as a child by picking an Obafemi Martins shirt from a market stall “right away”, while also saying the teenager would pick the San Siro were they to offer him more than what he earns now

There has also been speculation from Gazzetta dello Sport that Mino Raiola, Kean’s agent, could encourage his client to consider a move away from Italy this summer, potentially because he sees greater financial opportunities in one of Europe’s more marketable leagues – such as the Premier League.

With regards to that, Jean says he had not spoken to the agent yet, but that the two would liaise before a decision on Kean’s future is made.

“Inter are his home: he chose them as a child, so surely he’d like to go there,” he told Passione Inter. “Then it depends on the offers that come in for him. If Inter offer more than what he earns right now, he’ll go there in my opinion. When he played for Torino, he always said to me: ‘After Toro, take me to Inter.’

“I’ve read in the newspapers that he could go abroad, but I haven’t talked to Raiola yet: he’ll contact me before making a decision. Despite being an adult, he still has his roots here. I’ll advise him to go to Inter so he can be even closer to me, instead of going to the Netherlands.”
