No urgency to sell
Romelu Lukaku has made clear that he wants Everton to be ambitious, and has so far refused to sign a new contract at the club.
Yet his present deal does not expire until 2019, giving the Toffees plenty of leeway and meaning they are simply under no urgency to sell.
Next summer will be the time where they can worry about potentially losing him on a free 12 months later. For now Everton hold the cards, and should only consider selling the striker for an astronomical fee.

With Lukaku capable of scoring 20 plus goals in every one of these seasons, it would be an investment worth making.
This season Lukaku has scored 24 goals in 32 league games, and has 70 goals in all competitions over the last three years for the Toffees.
Lukaku is a difference maker worth shelling out for, who has the potential to get better and better.
A team might just pay it
Everton can demand a fee like this because quite simply, they are capable of getting it.
There are very few strikers available in world football of the calibre of Lukaku, who is still just 23-years-old.
A team would be buying a star striker for potentially the next 10 years, and Manchester United’s £89 million move for Paul Pogba last summer was a further indication of team’s willingness to spend staggering figures.
Lukaku is about a ‘sure thing’ as a big money buy gets, and top clubs are unlikely to be put off by Everton’s valuation.
