Everton and Wolves fans on Twitter aren’t too pleased with Watford scoring a late equaliser against Southampton on Tuesday night.

The result means that Javi Gracia’s side now occupy seventh spot in the Premier League table and are in the driving seat to finish in a European spot at the end of the campaign.

In the game at Vicarage Road, Shane Long scored the quickest goal in Premier League history when he netted after seven seconds, but striker Andre Gray scored in the 90th minute to secure a valuable point for his team.

Wolves, who host Champions League-chasing Arsenal on Wednesday night, can leapfrog both Everton and Watford into seventh, but they will need to pick up maximum points in order to do that.

Brendan Rodgers Leicester City, who arre sitting in eighth place and two points behind Watford, are also in the race to finish seventh after they scored a late equaliser of their own against West Ham over the weekend.

Nonetheless, supporters of Wolves and Everton were left unimpressed with Watford nicking a late goal to move them into that crucial European spot.

Even if Wolves drop points at home to Arsenal on Wednesday night a lot will fall on what happens at the weekend because Nuno Espirito Santo’s take on the Hornets in a crucial Premier League clash.

A draw between the two clubs would suit Everton, who have a better goal difference and travel to London to take on Crystal Palace.
