Everton and Spurs are reportedly keen on Tosin Adarabioyo.
According to the Daily Mail, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing Manchester City’s young defender Tosin Adarabioyo.
Adarabioyo, 19, was born in Manchester and came up through the ranks with City having joined the club at the age of just five way back in 2003.
With 15 appearances for England across various youth levels, Adarabioyo has established himself as one of English football’s top young centre backs – but he hasn’t yet established himself at the Etihad Stadium just yet.

Adarabioyo has played just once for City’s first team, as he started in an FA Cup tie against Chelsea back in February of this year, but is back down the pecking order with Pep Guardiola’s men.
With Nicolas Otamendi, John Stones, Aleksandar Kolarov and Vincent Kompany are all ahead of him right now, whilst loaned-out Jason Denayer is one for the future.
As a result, the Daily Mail claim that Adarabioyo is stalling on a new deal, and with his contract expiring at the end of the season, it’s believed that Everton and Tottenham are both keen.

Whilst a move to Spurs, where young English players have thrived under Mauricio Pochettino, would make some sense, a move to Everton may in fact be better for Adarabioyo.
Spurs already have one young centre back with a bright future ahead of him in Cameron Carter-Vickers, whilst Kevin Wimmer, Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld are also at Pochettino’s disposal, meaning Adarabioyo would be walking into a similar situation at White Hart Lane.
Conversely, Everton have two veteran defenders in Ashley Williams and Phil Jagielka, who are 32 and 34 respectively, whilst Ramiro Funes Mori suggested to La Nacion that he could leave Merseyside if he doesn’t get more first-team football.

There’s certainly a gap for Ronald Koeman to develop a young central defender to eventually replace Williams or Jagielka, and the 6ft 5in Adarabioyo fits the bill perfectly.
Factor in that Adarabioyo was born in Manchester, and joining Everton would be geographically appealing for the youngster, rather than upping sticks to move down to London at such an early stage in his career.
It remains to be seen what Adarabioyo decides, and he could yet choose to stay at the Etihad Stadium – but if it came down to Everton v Tottenham, a move to Goodison Park could be ideal for him.
Do you think Adarabioyo would be better off joining Everton or Spurs?
