Everton, Southampton and West Bromwich Albion should all consider a move for the West Ham United striker.

Hammers striker Andy Carroll remains an enigma. When fit and firing on all cylinders he is a handful for any defence in the world, but his struggles to remain fit for more than a third of the campaign mean that he has failed to ever really reach the heights that he is undoubtedly capable of.

Slaven Bilic has a big decision to make this summer, with regards to the former Liverpool and Newcastle United man’s future. With just two years remaining on his current deal at the London Stadium, it could be make or break for Carroll.

Should the Croatian decide to part ways with the towering marksman, there will surely be plenty of clubs interested in obtaining his services, despite his less than impressive injury record.

Here are three clubs who should consider taking a punt on Carroll this summer, if he is made available for transfer…

Everton:

The Toffees could very well be in the market for a new striker this summer, whether they manage to hold on to Romelu Lukaku or not.

Whilst Ronald Koeman is renowned for having his side play their football on the ground, he is certainly not adversed to mixing things up, and that is where a move for Carroll would make sense.

His addition to the Blues squad would enable Koeman to play with another option, should he need to change tact when things aren’t going their way.

Signing the striker would undoubtedly be accompanied by risk, but one worth taking for the Merseyside outfit nevertheless.

West Bromwich Albion:

Tony Pulis has endured his fair share of criticism throughout the course of the last two transfer windows, after failing to get deals for his primary transfer targets over the line.

The signing of Carroll, however, could get the Baggies fans back on side.

West Brom are desperately in need of more firepower in forward areas, to help supplement the talents of Salomon Rondon, and the 6ft 4in hitman could be just the ticket for the Baggies.

Southampton:

Claude Puel has endured heavy criticism from Saints fans for his failure to introduce different styles of play when his team are losing.

He seemingly has very much just one philosophy on how the game should be played, and if he is to succeed in England, that will need to change in a hurry.

Andy Carroll could be just the man the south coast outfit need to help them progress next term, and would offer Puel the chance to play in a more direct style.

Whether the pragmatic Frenchman would be willing to take a risk on the West Ham star is another matter entirely, however.
