Liverpool’s Xherdan Shaqiri has taken a jab at Everton.

Everton and Liverpool both won over the weekend, teeing up next weekend’s Merseyside derby perfectly with the two sides in great form.
The Toffees beat Cardiff City 1-0 to make it five wins in the last seven, whilst Liverpool kept up their unbeaten start with a 3-0 win over Watford.
Next week, the two sides will meet at Anfield in what promises to be a barnstorming game, and one Liverpool player has stoked the fire ahead of the game.
Reds winger Xherdan Shaqiri has been earning fans by the week following his summer move from Stoke City, even though he isn’t yet a regular under Jurgen Klopp.
The Swiss star has offered another attacking threat though, and he has joked about Everton ahead of next weekend’s clash.
As quoted by the Liverpool Echo, Shaqiri revealed that he knows an Everton fan, and when they urged him to sign for the Toffees, he said ‘no’.

Now, whether you believe that this happened or not is up to you, but fans have been taking to Twitter to react to Shaqiri’s comments, with Liverpool fans admitting that they love him even more after seemingly snubbing Everton.
Everton fans didn’t seem too bothered though, believing that he wouldn’t even get into Marco Silva’s side right now even if Liverpool fans love him, joking that he would only get into the Everton Under-23’s right now.
