Crystal Palace have disappointed a number of clubs today by announcing a deal for youngster Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.
The Daily Mail reported last month that Rak-Sakyi had turned down a professional deal with the club and looked set to leave.
A move to Germany was touted, with Borussia Monchengladbach and Schalke both interested in signing the 18-year-old.
The report even added that Celtic were looking to bring Rak-Sakyi to Scotland, whilst West Ham United and Everton have also shown an interest.
It looked like being a real battle for Rak-Sakyi’s signature, but Palace have ensured that he is going absolutely nowhere.
Palace have announced that Rak-Sakyi has signed a first professional contract with the club, and ultimately won’t be leaving any time soon.

Rak-Sakyi has starred in the Under-18 Premier League this season, racking up six goals and four assists for Palace.
Now, he will hope to follow in the footsteps of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Tyrick Mitchell and Wilfried Zaha in becoming a homegrown hero at Selhurst Park, leaving Everton, West Ham and Celtic disappointed.
