Richarlison has hit the ground running at Everton since leaving Watford.
Richarlison has told Spanish newspaper AS that to join Real Madrid or Barcelona would be “the dream” but remains insistent that he is happy at Everton after joining the club this summer.
The 21-year-old has shone for The Toffees during the early stage of his career at Goodison Park, scoring three goals in his first three Premier League appearances for Everton. But he then received a straight red card against Bournemouth.
Despite that, Richarlison has continued his fine form by making his Brazil debut against USA as a 15-minute substitute before scoring two goals in a 5-0 friendly win over El Salvador.
The former Watford star told AS that he is happy at Everton but did state that joining either one of the Spanish giants is a “dream” and implied that he would be interested in such a move in the future.
“That leaves me in a complicated situation,” Richarlison said, when asked if he would consider joining either club. “They are two giants, the dream of any player. But I just got to Everton, I’m very happy.
“And in the end the next step will depend a lot on what you do here. So I hope to do a lot of good things in Everton, to win something relevant and to give back the confidence of the club and the fans. This is my great motivation right now.”
Richarlison earned his big-money move to Everton after impressing in his first season at Watford under Marco Silva, who has signed him a second time to bring him to Merseyside.
The versatile attacker will be unavailable for Sunday’s clash against West Ham United as he serves the third game of his three-match ban, but will be up for selection ahead of Everton’s clash against Arsenal the weekend after.
