Friday night football saw Everton take on Crystal Palace at Goodison Park in a battle of the Belgian strikers Romelu Lukaku and Christian Benteke.

Before the game, we looked at how the duo had compared so far this season, with the Everton man coming out on top.

Both players managed to get themselves on the scoresheet in the game, with Lukaku opening the scoring with a superb free-kick and Benteke levelling with an even better header.

In that regard they finished equal, but how did they compare in the stats? We decided to take a look.

As it transpires Lukaku had the better of his international teammate once again as he came out on top in four areas, with the duo level in the other four.

While the two were equal when it came to total shots, shooting accuracy and goals scored, Lukaku managed more shots on target.

The Toffees striker also posted more key passes than his compatriot, although neither managed an assist.

His passing was also better as he registered more accurate passes and enjoyed a better overall passing accuracy.

A win for Lukaku in the stats then, although given that he could not get the winner for his team he is unlikely to be celebrating.

The result leaves Everton third in the table heading into the weekend with 14 points from their first seven games. Palace, meanwhile, stay seventh with 11 points.
