Everton are on the verge of securing another late signing with Fleetwood Town goalkeeper Billy Crellin closing in on a dream move.
Everton have had quite the busy day having appointed Frank Lampard as their new manager and then signed Donny van de Beek.
Add in that Tottenham ace Dele Alli is expected to join tonight as well and Everton are getting plenty of business done.
Now, The Athletic claim that Everton are ‘on course’ to complete a late deal for goalkeeper Crellin.
It’s stated that Fleetwood have agreed to sell Crellin to Everton and he now has permission to undergo a medical tonight.
Crellin is a boyhood Everton and is understood to have been on Everton’s radar for many years.
Crellin, 21, is out of contract this summer so Everton are likely paying a very minimal fee to bring him to Goodison Park.
A former England youth international from Under-17’s all the way to Under-20’s, Crellin has been highly rated at Fleetwood.
After spending last season on loan at Bolton Wanderers in League Two, Crellin is now set for a big Premier League move.

Everton are seemingly keen to add a young goalkeeper for the future, which is a very smart move.
Behind Jordan Pickford, Everton’s main two backup goalkeepers – Asmir Begovic and Andy Lonergan – are coming towards the end of their careers.
Crellin now offers a young option for the future, and this is a real dream come true for the goalkeeper given his love of the Toffees.
With a new manager, two first-team midfielders and a young goalkeeper coming in, this has been a successful day for Everton.
