Jack Grealish has been raving about a former Aston Villa team-mate in the form of Adama Traore recently.
Ahead of the release of FIFA 21, the Aston Villa star was quizzed by Joe.co.uk about how his team-mates – past and present – compare to how the boffins at EA Sports perceive them.
According to the game, Traore has the joint-highest speed rating along with Kylian Mbappe.
But the 25-year-old, who played alongside the Spain international during the 2015-16 campaign, has said that Traore should be rated higher.
When asked about Traore being rated as high as Mbappe in terms of speed, Grealish said: “He shouldn’t be. He should be highest. I know Mbappe is fast, like unbelievably fast, but Adama’s just the fastest person I’ve ever seen play football ever in my whole life.”
Traore, who is now at Wolverhampton Wanderers, is well known for his tremendous pace and power.
But according to The Mirror, Manchester City full-back Kyle Walker clocked a faster speed than him last season.
Walker’s highest speed of the 2019-20 campaign was 23.49mph, whereas Traore’s was 23.48.
Traore was heavily linked with a move away from Molineux during the summer transfer window but wound up staying at Wolves, despite speculation about moves to Liverpool and others.
The 24-year-old managed six goals and 12 assists across all competitions last term, and if he can better that this time around then the likes of Liverpool will undeniably sniff around again next year.
