Going by the Cody Gakpo stats, it’s obvious Liverpool have signed a cracker here.
According to the Gakpo Transfermarkt page, the Reds’ new winger is one heck of a productive footballer.
The Netherlands international, who sealed his move to Liverpool on Wednesday night, had been enjoying a rip-roaring season at PSV Eindhoven prior to his Anfield switch.

Before joining Jurgen Klopp’s side, he had managed 13 goals and 17 assists in only 24 appearances across all competitions [Gakpo Transfermarkt].
And those numbers, for someone who isn’t a number nine, are very impressive indeed.
Yep, Liverpool have pulled off a coup here – and even Sports Direct agree.
After the confirmation, Gakpo pinned the club’s announcement post to his Instagram last night and the famous sports retailers were among those to respond.
Sports Direct responded to Liverpool’s post: “What a signing” followed by the flame emoji.
Unfortunately, though, the Anfield faithful will have to wait just a little longer before seeing their £37 million signing.
As covered by HITC Sport, Gakpo is not eligible to make his Premier League debut against Leicester City tomorrow night.
Klopp’s side have been in excellent form lately, however, and they should have enough to get past Brendan Rodgers’s side, even if Gakpo isn’t available just yet.
