Jose Mourinho has told Tottenham Hotspur’s official App that Giovani Lo Celso will be involved against LASK this evening, even though he isn’t fully fit.

Lo Celso has been back in Tottenham training in recent days, after missing out on their game against West Ham United at the weekend.

The playmaker may not have been included in a Premier League game tonight, if Mourinho could only name seven substitutes.

But with the increased bench size in the Europa League, Mourinho has said that Lo Celso will be in the squad.

“The Europa League give us the opportunity to have 12 players involved, so it’s easy for me and the players because they all feel involved,” he said.

“Even players like Giovani Lo Celso, coming from injury, can be involved.

“It’s only Dier and Tanganga out – and everybody else is fit.”

Whether Lo Celso will actually play remains to be seen, but his return to the squad is a boost for Spurs.

Lo Celso has been one of Tottenham’s most consistent performers since Mourinho’s arrival, and will surely walk back into their starting line-up when fit.

Lo Celso provides a great deal of creativity to Tottenham’s team when available, but he also is very tenacious in the tackle, which has helped him to win favour with Mourinho.

There is great excitement around Tottenham about a potential midfield trio of Pierre Emile Hojbjerg, Tanguy Ndombele and Lo Celso – as the three players could all compliment each other brilliantly.
