Cesc Fabregas told talkSPORT that the Arsenal players ‘enjoy’ playing under Mikel Arteta.
The Premier League legend also claimed that the Arsenal players are ‘training well’ under his guidance and they feel ‘prepared’
To say it was a tough season for Arsenal and Arteta last season would be an understatement because he was probably lucky to survive it without being shown his P45.
But Fabregas thinks that those in the Arsenal boardroom believe in Arteta ‘a lot’, as they head into a new season.
“He’s a guy that loves football,” said Fabregas. “He knows what he is doing. He has got a clear idea of where he wants to go.
“Even now, if you speak to some of the players, they will tell you that they really enjoy playing under him.
“That the training is well. They feel prepared and they know what they are doing. Still, he is a very young manager.
“He was very lucky and he did very well in terms of being next to Pep. It was like a super preparation for a young coach – it’s a difficult job, it really is. Where he got the club or where the club should be.
“I think Edu and the board believe a lot in him. And hopefully, he can be the man to bring this team forward.”

If Arsenal don’t move forward ahead of the forthcoming campaign then there’s no chance that Arteta survives.
Whilst he will always have his critics, many will be hoping it’s a case of taking several steps back in order to properly move forward.
Those first ten games of the new Premier League season are going to be crucial for Arteta and his players.
If they find themselves getting knocked out again then those dark clouds will crash down on the Emirates and it won’t be pleasant viewing for Arteta.
