Unai Emery’s Arsenal side failed to hold out to claim the three points at the weekend.

Granit Xhaka of Arsenal during the Premier League match between Watford FC and Arsenal FC at Vicarage Road on September 15, 2019 in Watford, United Kingdom.

Even neutral fans cannot believe that Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka insisted that his side should be happy with a point, after they picked up 2-2 draw with Watford.

Arsenal had taken a 2-0 lead at Vicarage Road, but threw the points away with an awful second half showing.

The Gunners were the masters of their own downfall, as their own errors gave Watford a way back into the match.

Sokratis first gave away possession which allowed Tom Cleverley to blast home, before David Luiz gave away a penalty.

The result was hugely frustrating for Arsenal fans, but £30 million midfielder (Guardian) Xhaka said to Sky Sports: “We have to be happy to take a point…”

The comments have not gone down well at all with Arsenal fans, and even neutral supporters were shocked at his attitude.

Arsenal’s defensive problems have been all too evident for too long now, and Unai Emery needs to find a way to help his side tighten up at the back.

Arsenal will be able to welcome back Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney sooner rather than later, which should help in that respect.

The Gunners have now slipped down to seventh place in the Premier League, with the pressure building on Emery’s men.
