Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur side are said to be interested in Jay Rodriguez and Jack Grealish.

Tottenham Hotspur are being linked with late moves for both Jack Grealish and Jay Rodriguez, as they aim to finally do some business this summer, but even their arrivals wouldn’t end the questions over their ambition.

Tottenham have failed to bring in one new player over the transfer window to date, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side standing still while all their rivals have strengthened.

It has raised concerns at Spurs that they simply aren’t showing enough intent, and even their deadline day plans look rather underwhelming.

Grealish has been linked with Spurs for months, but they have failed to get a deal over the line for Aston Villa.

The Guardian claim Spurs will make another bid, as they look to get a move for Grealish over the line, but his signing would hardly be a landmark one.

While Grealish is clearly a talent and would be a smart addition to Tottenham’s squad, he is not a player who would strike fear into their Premier League rivals.

Rodriguez, similarly, may offer Spurs more cover going forward – but it is difficult to believe that any of Tottenham’s top four rivals would move for the West Bromwich Albion man.

Pochettino’s men are believed to be interested in Rodriguez, as reported by the Burnley Express, but even if Spurs do get his transfer over the line, it is unlikely to ease the criticism on the Tottenham board, if this season does not pan out successfully.
