The Liverpool winger has been linked with a move to Leeds United in the past.

According to a report from the Daily Star, Liverpool are planning to offer exciting youngster Ryan Kent a new contract as he bids to make the breakthrough at Anfield, but that should not end Leeds United’s hopes of bringing the player to Elland Road.
As reported by the Sun earlier this year, Leeds are keeping a close eye on the 20-year-old who has featured 38 times for loan club Barnsley this season.
Given his innate talent, it is no surprise that Liverpool want to keep him tied to the club for the foreseeable future. However Leeds could be the ideal loan club for the youngster next season; especially if the Whites ultimately seal promotion back to the top flight.
As skilful as Kent is, he is unlikely to play regularly at Liverpool as early as next year, but with question marks over some of Leeds’ current wide options they could get their hands on an alleged target for their first year back among the big boys.
It would allow Leeds to strengthen – albeit temporarily – with a known target, while Kent can get regular game time and Liverpool can see what he can do in the top flight.
The move relies on a lot of ifs, buts and maybes but just because Kent looks set to commit his future to Liverpool does not mean Leeds should end their interest entirely.
