The Hammers brought the curtain down on 112 years of history at their beloved Boleyn Ground at the end of last season with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Manchester United.
Less thrilling for the club’s fans, though, are the videos and pictures which have emerged of the moment the club’s famous old ground was “blown-up” for the purposes of a new film.
Some West Ham fans have been hankering for their old ground amid teething problems at their new 60,000 Olympic Stadium home in Stratford.
Infighting and fears for security are just two of the gripes while on the pitch Slaven Bilic’s side have been dumped out of Europe and lost four of their five opening Premier League games including back-to-back 4-2 thrashings at the hands of Watford and West Brom.

There have been ugly scenes at their old ground as well, though, with explosions set off inside Upton Park but it was only to film scenes for the upcoming film Final Score.
The video shows a large explosion in the corner of the old West Stand and a huge cloud of smoke billowing out.
But while the stadium was a little scorched from the pyrotechnics and seats strewn around – the stadium is still very much intact.

As with most things in this social media age – and probably much to the disdain of the film’s creators – footage of Upton Park being blown up has been leaked online.
Hammers fans and indeed fans of many clubs have been reacting to the images on Twitter with one Tottenham Hotspur fan showing just how cherished Upton Park was as an English football ground.
“Even as a Spurs fan the demolition of Upton Park is sad to see,” the supporter posted.
