Paul Barber has said on The Beautiful Game Podcast that he is happy to see Leandro Trossard doing well at Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal despite him being a Tottenham Hotspur fan.

The Brighton and Hove Albion CEO has said that selling Trossard to Arsenal has worked out for all three parties.

Arsenal signed Trossard from Premier League rivals Brighton in the summer transfer window.

According to Sky Sports, the Gunners have paid the Seagulls an initial transfer fee of £20 million.

HITC Verdict: Smart signing for Arsenal

In our view, Leandro Trossard has been a smart signing for Arsenal and has been able to make an immediate impact at the Gunners.

The Belgium international has made a difference as a substitute as well as when he has started matches.

The 28-year-old has made six starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal since his transfer in January.

The Belgian has scored one goal and given six assists in those games.

While Tottenham may not even make the Premier League top four this season, bitter North London rivals Arsenal could end up winning the title.

Things are going well for the Gunners at the moment.

Arsenal are at the top of the Premier League table heading into the international break.
