Speaking on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano has shared what he knows about Liverpool’s summer transfer plans.
The Reds made a real splash in January by signing Luis Diaz from Porto, and while the Merseyside club bolstered their attack in the winter, according to Romano, they’ll be looking for another new attacker in the summer – potentially a winger.
Indeed, Romano says he’s sure that Liverpool want to bring a new attacker to the club this summer.
What’s been said?
Romano claimed that Liverpool want a new attacker.
“Klopp is focused on Liverpool. They are already planning for the next transfer window in the summer. They need something else. I am sure that Liverpool will do something in an attacking position, maybe a winger, even after signing Luis Diaz they want another one. They are already planning together for the future,” Romano said.

Salah’s backup.
Between Diogo Jota, Mo Salah, Luis Diaz, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, Liverpool have five truly elite attackers, but, somehow, there is still space for a sixth.
If reports are to be believed the player they bring in could be a left-footer who could act as Salah’s backup. After all, they have been linked to the likes of Raphinha and Jarrod Bowen in recent months.
The Reds have some brilliant attacking options, but one thing they do lack is a truly brilliant Salah backup.
On the surface, Liverpool trying to sign yet another attacker this summer is surprising, but more depth is never a bad thing.
