Some Europeans probably did not think too highly of the USA prior to the 2026 World Cup, but the tournament has helped visitors see another side of America.
While Canada and Mexico are also hosting some games at the competition, most are taking place in the US, with fans all around the world getting an up-close look at what the country is really like.
Now, one Texas resident has recently given two couples from France and Poland a two-day experience in the state.
France and Poland soccer fans given Texas experience
In a video shared by CBS, the host said: “I want to show them my Texas and get them to experience that because I wanted to open the world up to my home.
“My soul has been lit on fire, lit on fire just seeing all these people enjoy themselves here.”
While visiting Texas, the European couples were taught to dance the two-step, were treated to an off-road ride in a pickup truck, got to experience horse riding, and had a trip to Buc-ee’s.
When commenting on their time in Texas, one man said: “I would say it is all new to us. My dad grew up watching like John Wayne westerns, you just want to see it for yourself,” before his partner added: “I was a bit sceptical about it, but then I just feel like, yes, I can do this all day.”
The man then commented on his love for the lifestyle, adding: “We love this lifestyle. We enjoy every second of it. We just want to like soak it in.”
Many more fans from around the world are now set to flock to Texas during the coming weeks as their teams compete at the Dallas Stadium.
Jordan and Argentina are going head-to-head in a Group J match in Dallas later this week, while the stadium will also host Round of 32, Round of 16 and semi-final matches at this summer’s tournament.
