AC Milan look set to complete a sensational double striking switch as they tie up a deal for teenage sensation M’Baye Niang and edge ever closer to signing Bojan Krkic from Roma. Niang ends a summer of speculation about a possible destination switch by rejecting the overtures of Everton to sign on at the San Siro from Caen. Bojan, a graduate of La Masia only signed for Roma recently but is expected to tie up a one year loan with the Rossoneri with the option to buy available for Massimilliano Allegri at the end of the season. He said it was the perfect way to celebrate his 22nd birthday.
Whilst AC Milan have now admitted that a potential return to the club for Kaka is off. Vice-president Adriano Galliani has confirmed that there are too many financial risks in bringing in the former World Footballer of the Year who seems set to play a supporting role at the Bernabeu this upcoming season.
In the Azure side of town Inter have allowed one of their young talents the opportunity to develop abroad with Samuele Longo joining Espanyol on a season long deal. The Italian Under-21 international has agreed to a similar move of Phillipe Coutinho last season and will hope to develop his game in order to force future first team football with the Nerazzurri.
Jonathan dos Santos has again reiterated his desire to remain with Barcelona after more speculation linking the brother of Giovani to fellow Primera side Sevilla. Jonathan however is happy to fight for his place with the Blaugrana.
In Germany, Hamburg have secured the signing of midfield playmaker Petr Jiracek from Wolfsburg. The Czech international had a highly impressive Euro 2012 but has barely made an impact at his Felix Magath’s side. With that in mind he has decided to move on to the Imtech Arena.
Bayer Leverkusen have confirmed there will be no sale involving their two German international stars Andre Schurrle and Lars Bender. The two have been targeted by Chelsea and Bayern Munich respectively but are still tied to extensive contracts at the Bayer Arena and the club have no reason to sell.
And finally a deal for Javi Martinez looks set to be completed, with the Basque midfielder-defender signing for Bayern Munich from Athletic Bilbao, despite interest from Manchester City.
Olympique de Marseille may be struggling to secure a deal for Joey Barton but they have signed 22-year-old Brazilian talent Lucas Mendes from Coritiba. The Coxa regular was in the Brazilian preliminary Olympic squad and has signed for an undisclosed fee.
Going a bit more global now; Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka may have to find a new club. Reports claim that Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua is on the brink of financial catastrophe after board infighting and they may have to cull the star men if they are to survive.
Whilst Alessandro Del Piero is being chased ‘hard’ by Sydney FC. The A-League side wants to make him there marquee player but the Juve legend is reportedly closer to a move to Swiss outfit FC Sion where he would join fellow Azzurri legend Gennaro Gattuso.
