Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after Phil Hay revealed that the club could potentially make five signings this summer.
The Athletic’s Leeds correspondent tweeted the news earlier today, and suggested that Victor Orta is keen to move on from the Championship old guard.
We’d assume that five new arrivals would mean some existing Leeds players will face the chop, which means things could get emotional this summer.
One name who could be in the firing line is Tyler Roberts, who is mentioned in Hay’s tweet.
The former West Brom attacker has done well lately and assisted Patrick Bamford against Southampton last night with a lovely through ball.
However, the impressive performances need to keep coming if he is to prove to Marcelo Bielsa that he’s worthy of being kept at Elland Road.
While the potential exits are the sad part of the news, Hay’s revelation is largely exciting.
Bielsa’s side is packed full of talent, and just a few injections of quality in certain areas would make Leeds a real force to be reckoned with.
Just imagine a few more additions of similar quality to Raphinha.
European football could well be on the cards if Orta can somehow do that.
