LOSC Lille have taken to Twitter to send a short message to Lucas Digne, after the Everton No.12 suffered a serious ankle injury.
The French club – who are competing in this season’s Europa League – used to be Digne’s home.
Carlo Ancelotti’s vice-captain came through Lille’s academy system, spending eight years in total at the club from 2005 to 2013 before signing for Paris Saint-Germain.
Sadly, the France international – who earns £90,000-a-week at Goodison Park – requires surgery after suffering ankle ligament damage at Finch Farm during training earlier in the week.
His absence will be a huge, huge blow to the Toffees.

Digne was in excellent form, having amassed four assists in eight Premier League appearances so far this season including two in the recent 3-2 win over Fulham.
WhoScored shows that the 27-year-old records two key passes per game, and also delivers 2.1 crosses every 90 minutes in the Premier League.
Sadly, that game against the Cottagers was Digne’s last action of 2021, as he gets set for a few months on the sidelines.

However, the former Barcelona left-back’s absence does provide an opportunity for Niels Nkounkou to impress even more.
The summer signing has caught the eye in the Carabao Cup this season, where his left-footed deliveries and desire to overlap the forwards have stood out.
