EURO 2020 is drawing ever closer, with the first game now less than a month away.

We’ve now hit a major milestone in the run-up to the tournament, as UEFA’s official Euro 2020 Fantasy Football game is now live.

You can go and pick your team now, and we’ve picked out 11 bargains and hidden gems to help you free up some cash for the real big hitters this summer…

Roman Yaremchuk – €7m

The Gent striker scored four times in qualifying and has 21 goals in all competitions this season. With North Macedonia and Austria in his group, Yaremchuck is a sneaky bet for goals.

Teemu Pukki – €7m

Hard to argue with his goal return in qualifying – 10 goals, only three players scored more. May not be a long-term investment given that Finland are unlikely to get out of their group, but worth a punt.

Mason Mount – €7m

A cheaper option than Jadon Sancho and arguably more likely to play. Mount has been superb for Chelsea this season and looks set to start under Gareth Southgate this summer.

Tomas Soucek – €6.5m

We’ve seen Soucek pose a huge threat in the Premier League with West Ham United, and he’s already scored seven goals in 33 games for the Czech Republic. A cheap option that could pop up with goals.

Yusuf Yazici – €5.5m

This looks like a bargain. Turkey are dark horses, and will fancy themselves to advance from a group containing Italy, Wales and Switzerland. Yazici may only have one goal in 30 games for Turkey, but having smashed 14 goals from midfield for Lille this term, he’s worth a gamble at just €5.5m.

Leon Goretzka – €6.5m

Only Serge Gnabry scored more qualifying goals for Germany, but Goretzka comes in at €3m cheaper. He has just suffered an injury and may be in a race against time to play at the Euros, but if he’s available, he’s a bargain.

Loic Nego – €4m

It’s hard to ignore that price tag. Nego has scored six goals for Fehervar this season and has two goals in nine international games. He may just be a cheap bench player enabling you to spend more elsewhere, but don’t be surprised if he contributes points in the group stage.

Mykola Matviyenko – €4.5m

Talented left footed centre back, may not get you many goals but he’s very cheap, should play regularly and is a potential source of clean sheets against Austria and North Macedonia.

Willi Orban – €4.5m

Scored three goals from centre back in qualifying. A tough group means he may concede a few, but the RB Leipzig defender is one of the better budget options even if you just stick him on the bench.

Owen Wijndal – €4.5m

Left back Wijndal has been starting for the Netherlands in recent games, and could now start at the Euros. With five assists for AZ Alkmaar this season, Wijndal has attacking quality and a favourable group with Austria, North Macedonia and Ukraine.

Dominik Livakovic – €5m

Of the relatively ‘budget’ goalkeepers, Livakovic stands out. The Croatia stopper is likely to play regularly, and games against Scotland and the Czech Republic look appealing.
