How will Eunan O’Kane fare for Leeds United this season?
O’Kane, who is 27 years of age and is a Republic of Ireland international, can operate as a central midfielder or as an attacking midfielder.
The former Torquay United man joined Leeds from Bournemouth in the summer of 2016 when Garry Monk – now the manager of Championship rivals Middlesbrough – was in charge of the Whites.
The Republic of Ireland international played well during the 2016-17 campaign, starting 20 games in the Championship.
O’Kane has refused to comment on the role he will play for Leeds this season, while also claiming that he does not expect to become the team captain under head coach Thomas Christiansen, who was appointed in the role earlier this summer.

“You’ll have to ask the manager, I’m not too sure I can say too much about that at the minute!” O’Kane told The Yorkshire Evening Post when asked about his role for this season.
“Anyone who gets the opportunity to captain this team should be extremely honoured,” said O’Kane on the captaincy at Leeds. “I don’t expect to get it but I will be honoured if it comes my way.”

Leeds will kick off their 2017-18 Championship campaign with an away game against Bolton Wanderers on Sunday afternoon.
The Whites will be aiming to finish in the top six of the league table this season after narrowly missing out on a playoff spot in 2016-17.
