Eunan O’Kane says he has recovered from his groin issue

Eunan O’Kane has played all eight of Leeds United’s Championship matches so far this season.

Leeds United midfielder Eunan O’Kane has bee quoted as saying by The Irish Times that he is fully fit and has recovered from his recent injury problems.

O’Kane missed the Republic of Ireland’s two World Cup qualifiers earlier this month due to a groin strain, and the Leeds fans will love his comments given his importance to the current team.

The 27-year-old has said that he has now fully recover from that problem, and been quoted as saying by The Irish Times: “I’m feeling good.

“I don’t have any issues at the moment. I’ve had a groin issue that’s been lingering for a while but thankfully it’s settled down, so all is well at the moment.”

O’Kane has played in all eight of Leeds’s Championship matches so far this season, providing three assists in the process.

The Republic of Ireland international midfielder seems to have established himself as a key figure in the current Leeds team.

The Whites have been brilliant so far this season and are at the top of the league table at the moment.

O’Kane failed to play regularly for Leeds towards the back-end of last season, but the Republic of Ireland international is now clearly a key figure in Thomas Christiansen’s team.

Leeds will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Ipswich Town at Elland Road in the Championship.

The West Yorkshire outfit should be able to pick up at least a point from the encounter this afternoon.
