Leeds United are arguably the most in-form team in the Championship.

Stephen Warnock of Leeds looks for a quick throw in during the Sky Bet Championship match between Leeds United and Derby County at Elland Road on November 29, 2014 in Leeds, England.

Eunan O’Kane has told LUTV that Stephen Warnock’s post-match comments about Leeds United on Saturday simply sum up how good they were on the day.

Thomas Christiansen’s side moved second in the Championship and extended their unbeaten start to the season to six league matches by smashing Burton Albion 5-0 at Elland Road.

Former Leeds man Warnock had the misfortune of being in Burton’s defence at the weekend, with the 35-year-old telling The Yorkshire Evening Post afterwards that the Whites posted a higher level of performance than he faced against Fulham last term.

The Cottagers scored 85 Championship goals last season – the same as division champions Newcastle – en route to winning a playoff spot, and the defender’s comments are indicative of how potent United were in the final third this past weekend.

And O’Kane has agreed that it was a “very slick” showing from the Yorkshire outfit, who have now netted 21 goals from eight games in all competitions, conceding just four.

“I think it was Stephen Warnock who commented after the game that our performance was better than any Fulham performance last year, so that’s a compliment in itself because a lot of teams would’ve said they were the best team in the league,” he told LUTV.

“Yeah it was very slick, very fast and the aim now is to keep going as fast as it was on Saturday and keep scoring goals.”

Christiansen will be hoping for the same free-flowing football which decimated Burton when Birmingham City visit Elland Road tonight.
