The Leeds United man appeared to have a fractious relationship with Garry Monk.
Eunan O’Kane has opened up to LUTV over how difficult it was to be left out of the side under former Leeds United boss Garry Monk at one point last season.
The 27-year-old midfielder was in unused substitute in six successive Championship games during the back end of last season.
In those games, Leeds picked up just four points out of a possible 18 in a disastrous run of form which derailed the Whites’ playoff bid as Monk’s side finished seventh.

The former Bournemouth man, whom Monk signed last summer, started just eight matches across all competitions in 2017 after returning from a two-month absence in January.
And O’Kane concedes that it was “really difficult” having to be a spectator as Leeds’ season slowly but surely unravelled from April onward.
Asked by LUTV how disappointed he was not to figure much toward the end of last season, O’Kane said: “Extremely. Obviously I had an injury around Christmas time which kept me out for two months.
“But then to come back and be fit, and for the team to be going through a bad run of form, and to not be given the opportunity to [help] turn that around was frustrating and really difficult.”
O’Kane has been one of United’s best players in pre season and he will be hoping to make up for lost time under new head Thomas Christiansen.
Leeds get their Championship campaign underway on Sunday with a trip to Bolton Wanderers.
