Mateusz Klich seems to be making a positive impression at Leeds United so far.

Eunan O’Kane has told LUTV that he likes the look of new Leeds United team-mate Mateusz Klich.

The Poland midfielder could make his competitive debut for Leeds today as the Whites travel to Bolton Wanderers in their Championship opener.

Klich was the first signing of the Thomas Christiansen era and he looks impressive so far, having worked his way back into contention after suffering a muscle problem after joining.

The 27-year-old, who has 10 caps for his country, is one of the more established figures to join Leeds this summer and O’Kane says he has made a positive impression on him.

“He’s been very good in the short amount of time that he’s been fit,” O’Kane said to LUTV.

“We’ve not seen an awful lot of him but from what I’ve seen I’ve been impressed and I hope he can add to the squad.”

O’Kane has been one of United’s best players throughout pre-season and Klich might be a victim of the Irishman’s form.

The Pole was omitted from the first XI last Sunday against Oxford as Christiansen paired O’Kane and Kalvin Phillips together in midfield, which could be the case again today.
