Leeds star helped his side to a 2-1 win over Blackburn.

Pontus Jansson scored a late goal to give Leeds United all three points away to Blackburn Rovers.

The Swedish fan favourite headed in a corner with three minutes remaining, after Rover’s Elliott Bennett had cancelled out Stuart Dallas’ opener.

It was hardly a vintage performance from Leeds, but what mattered was simply getting all three points, especially after their embarrassing FA Cup loss to non-league Sutton United at the weekend.

Midfielder Eunan O’Kane commented on Twitter after the game, hailing the character of the team.

Leeds’ win kept them in fourth place in the Championship table, putting further pressure on second placed Newcastle United, who dropped points at home to Queens Park Rangers.
