Leeds United summer signing Eunan O’Kane’s recent injury disrupted his progress at Elland Road.
Eunan O’Kane has admitted to Radio Yorkshire that his time at Leeds United has been very frustrating, due to injury.
O’Kane joined Leeds from Bournemouth last summer, but he feels he has not been able to find top form at Elland Road yet.
The central-midfielder has had a lot of troubles with injury, and has failed to get a prolonged run of games.
And when asked whether he had been frustrated with how his Leeds move had gone so far, the Republic of Ireland international said: “Yes, it’s hugely frustrating to be injured – no matter where you are or what the injury is.
“I think the frustrating thing from my point of view, was that we weren’t clear on what it was. It took time to diagnose the specific problem. It’s been frustrating to be injured.”
O’Kane missed over a month’s worth of action due to injury between December and January.
The 26-year-old midfielder appears to have began to re-establish his place in Leeds’ line-up now though, as he has started the Yorkshire club’s last three matches.
O’Kane has largely impressed with the standard of his performances for the Whites since joining, and he will be key over the remainder of the campaign.
Leeds are currently in fourth place in the Championship table, and they are looking to ensure they claim a play off spot.
The Whites are next in action on Friday evening, when they take on Birmingham City at St. Andrews.
