Ethan Robson is on loan at Grimsby Town from Sunderland.

Robson has been at Sunderland since 2004, but the 22-year-old midfielder has made only a handful of appearances for the Black Cats’ first team so far in his career.
The youngster is on loan at Grimsby in League Two at the moment, and the midfielder has admitted that he is not sure what the future holds for him in regard to playing for League One outfit Sunderland.
The Chronicle quotes Robson as saying: “Whoever gets appointed I’m sure will do a good job. It’ll be good to have a chat with the manager who comes in and see where we go from there.
“Whatever happens, happens. I can’t control that at the minute, I’ve just got to keep playing well here.”
The youngster added: “I’ve got to play, I’m at an age where I need to be playing football. If that’s at Sunderland, great. If not, football is football, players move around.
“Obviously, I am a Sunderland lad, and it would be a dream for me to play for Sunderland.”

Future at Sunderland?
Robson cannot really control what happens until Sunderland appoint a new manager.
All the midfielder can do at the moment is work hard and play to the best of his ability at Grimsby.
The 22-year-old is doing well in League Two at the moment, and if he progresses well and develops nicely during his loan spell, then the new Sunderland manager will give him a chance.
According to WhoScored, Robson has made four starts and three substitutes in League Two for Grimsby so far this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist in the process.
