Tottenham Hotspur could do with a win over the Germans tonight.
Alejandro Moreno has told ESPN that he expects Tottenham Hotspur and Bayer Leverkusen to play out a draw in tonight’s Champions League clash at Wembley.
Tottenham go into their fourth Group E encounter on the back of a five-match winless streak in all competitions following a testing few weeks for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Victory tonight could see second-placed Spurs move top of the group ahead of the last two games, but defeat might result in them dropping to last place in a fact which illustrates just how tight the group is.
The Lilywhites earned a 0-0 draw at Leverkusen last time around in a point which was largely owed to a stunning performance from goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
And Moreno believes that both sides will cancel each other out once again at Wembley.
He told ESPN: “These played a very exciting match last time around. Spurs were better in the first half. Leverkusen were better in the second half. It was very even, so I’m going for a draw.”
Tottenham haven’t had a game at their adopted home since losing 2-1 to Monaco in the first matchday of the Champions League group stages.
Up to 90,000 fans of the North London could turn up tonight, but there were similar numbers for the defeat to the French side so it is not all about the supporters.
