Manchester City and Chelsea have been linked with Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker.

Tottenham's Kyle Walker in action

Former Newcastle United and West Ham United goalkeeper Shaka Hislop has predicted on ESPN FC that Kyle Walker will leave Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.

Walker is one of the best defenders in the Premier League and has been linked with moves away Tottenham in the summer.

According to The London Evening Standard, Manchester United and Manchester City are interested in signing Walker from Tottenham in the summer, while The Mirror has credited Chelsea with interest in the 26-year-old right-back.

Hislop, who now works as a pundit for ESPN FC, has predicted Walker to leave in the summer transfer window.

The former Newcastle and West Ham goalkeeper, though, believes that the deal will happen late in the transfer window because of club chairman Daniel Levy.

“I am going to say he leaves,” Hislop told ESPN FC regarding Walker’s future. “This would be a very late in the transfer window deal because Daniel Levy, we have seen him do business before, he makes business hard for anybody else.”

Tottenham chairman Levy is a very shrewd business, and he will certainly make sure that he gets the most he can from Walker’s sale.

It would make sense for Spurs to play hardball, as they do not need to sell the England international right-back.

Kieran Trippier is a good defender, and the North London outfit will know that he will be able to step up if Walker leaves.
