Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are trailing Celtic by 16 points.
Steve Nicol has spoken to ESPN about the upcoming Old Firm clash between Celtic and Rangers at Ibrox.
Both Glasgow giants renew hostilities with one another on Saturday as the Hoops travel to the blue half of the Old Firm divide in the knowledge that victory would put them 19 points clear of Mark Warburton’s side, who sit second.
Celtic – who still have a game in hand – moved 16 clear of Rangers on Wednesday with a 2-0 win over Ross County, whereas the Gers were held to a 1-1 draw at St Johnstone.

Barring a huge miracle, Brendan Rodgers, in his first season as manager, will deliver a sixth successive Scottish Premiership title to Parkhead.
The gap between both Old Firm clubs is simply huge, and Liverpool legend Nicol says that not only do Celtic have better players, but they have a younger squad.
“Rangers are trying, considering where they were a couple of years ago. But the problem they’re going to have, particularly in this game [Old Firm derby] is that they don’t have any legs,” he told ESPN.

“Rangers are a team who have loads of experience all over the park, but they don’t have any legs.
“A Celtic – Rangers game is about closing down. It’s about fighting, second balls, and Rangers can’t compete with that. Celtic have better football players and that’s why they’re so far ahead.”
