Liverpool, Everton and Manchester United have been linked with Burnley defender Michael Keane.
Michael Keane may have failed to make an impact at Manchester United, but the defender has been superb for Burnley.
Keane has established himself not only as a key player for the Clarets, but the 24-year-old is also one of the best defenders in the Premier League.
The former United man has been in superb form for Burnley this campaign and has been linked with a number of clubs in the English top flight.
The Mirror has credited Liverpool with interest in signing Keane in the summer transfer window, while The Express claims that Everton want him.
According to Sky Sports, Manchester United want to re-sign the defender and have a 25% sell-on clause.
Former Newcastle United and West Ham United goalkeeper Shaka Hislop, who now works as a pundit for ESPN FC, believes that Jose Mourinho’s side have an advantage due to the sell-on clause.
“I think that’s a possibility, and yes, I will with ‘Out’ on this one,” Hislop told ESPN FC when asked if Keane could join United in the summer.
“I will tell you why: because of that 25% sell-on clause that Manchester United included in Keane’s contract which automatically means whatever they pay for him is actually 25% less than anybody else who have to match the same amount. I think that works in their favour.”
Another advantage that Jose Mourinho’s United have is that Keane is a former player of the club and has unfinished business at Old Trafford.
