Former Arsenal forward Paul Mariner has suggested to ESPN that Everton winger Kevin Mirallas could lose his place in the team due to the arrival of Yannick Bolasie.
Bolasie recently joined Everton from Premier League rivals Crystal Palace.
As announced on the Toffees’ official website on Monday, the 27-year-old winger has signed a five-year contract with the Merseyside outfit.
According to The Sun, Everton had to pay Palace a transfer fee of £25 million in order to secure the services of the winger.
It has been reported by the British tabloid that the transfer fee for the DR Congo international could rise up to £30m through performance-related bonuses.

Former Arsenal forward Mariner, who now works as a pundit for ESPN, has suggested that Mirallas could lose his place in the Everton team to make space for Bolasie.
“He has got to play in wide areas for me, whether it’s right or left,” Mariner told ESPN when asked who makes way for Bolasie.
“He is not a number nine, he is not or a centre-forward. Somebody has to give way. I don’t know who it is, maybe Mirallas.”

The 28-year-old Belgium international winger scored four goals and created 18 chances in 23 league matches for Everton last season.
The former Olympiacos man featured for Everton in the Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park at the weekend.
